Safety Job Summary The Health & Safety Supervisor reports directly to the Health & Safety Superintendent.
This is a highly visible position requiring significant interaction with all levels of the facility organization, external stakeholders and headquarters to influence safety culture.
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for developing, administering and implementing programs and initiatives to continuously improve FLNG safety & health performance and compliance, such as:
Accident prevention & Investigations, Root cause analysis, Assurance & auditing activities, Multiple aspects of FLNG safety management systems, General process safety support (PHA participation etc.
), Behavior based safety process, Contractor safety and Assist with other general safety, health and emergency response tasks.
Develop procedures, programs and management system design that protect people from illness, injury and property damage.
Combine engineering and health and safety knowledge to ensure that chemicals, machinery, and other products do not harm people or damage property.
Maintain and apply knowledge of current health and safety policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
Including the review of plans and specifications regarding new machinery and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards.
Must be able to provide the leadership necessary to support the facility Leadership Team and site staff members to achieve the overarching goals of regulatory compliance, elimination of injuries and continuous improvement in safety & health.
Other duties may include support coordinating regulatory inspections, performing regulatory audits, inspections & tasks, general support of the Process Safety Management Team, providing technical advice to operations/maintenance, conducting training, assisting in the preparation of presentations and technical reports, as well as interpretation of data.
Location/Travel Information This position is based at the Quintana Terminal with frequent travel to off-site locations as required.
This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid, unexpired driver license at all times in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
Duties/Responsibilities Manage a team of Safety Specialists Develop and enhance health and safety programs for compliance with local, state and federal regulations Identify, track and improve existing health and safety reporting processes Own and track the First Report database.
Participate in the organization's continuous process improvement projects.
Coordinate overall Occupational Health and Safety program and assist management in the development of goals for continuous improvement.

Other Safety Supervisor Emergency Response Superintendent Health & Safety Specialist(s) Industrial Hygienist Process Safety Engineer(s) Acts as an active coach to all levels in the organization to ensure our behaviors and culture are consistent with our journey to Zero incidents.
Select appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
Manage projects and programs in a cost-effective manner.
Consult with company management to confirm safety program objectives are identified and met.
Work with management and training coordinator in developing a training needs analysis and training plans.
Conduct safety training sessions as necessary; schedule & facilitate sessions with internal and external instructors.
Attend training and seminars (Continuous Education) necessary to maintain proficiency in skills and knowledge.
Perform audits and report the effectiveness of the system (Process & Industrial) safety program.
Support incident investigations in determining root causes and drive corrective actions.
Plan and lead safety workshops to guarantee all employees fully understand safety procedures and process safety requirements they are required to follow.

Minimum Qualification/Work Experience Minimum Education Required:

in Health, Safety & Environmental, or technical field.
Minimum Experience Required:

years direct Health & Safety experience in an occupational industrial environment with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
Preferred Education:
Advanced degree in Health, Safety & Environmental, or technical field, such as engineering, biology, or chemistry.
CSP Certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification.

years' related experience in a LNG, NGL or Industrial plant facility.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Familiar with OSHA regulations and protocols.
Knowledge on Industrial Hygiene principles and execution Strict attention to detail and an eye for continuous improvement Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Must possess presentation skills/speaking & teaching in a group environment.
Superior communication, writing and grammar skills Proven record of accomplishment for leading Safety & Health matters.
Strong organization skills.
Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment and networking skills.
Ability to work successfully with internal and external customers in a professional manner Must be able to work with Regulatory Department and outside parties in a professional manner.
Some experience with Risk Assessments, Process Safety Management & Process Safety knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results within a team environment Working knowledge of Root Cause Failure Analysis for incident investigation Understanding the business - results driven; priority setting HSE Roles and Responsibilities Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Occupational Health & Safety Management System.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
