Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner
Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner - Freeport, TX
Occupational Health Services Provider located in Freeport, TX, is seeking a Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Our clinic provides pre-employment testing, annual exams, fit for duty, and injury care for our clients. The PA/NP will practice medicine under the supervision of the company Physician providing diagnostic therapy, preventive health care services, injury treatment, and all Occupational Health testing.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Examines and treats patients preparing medical histories
o Performs DOT and Non-DOT History and Physical exams
o Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic testing including lab work, audiograms, EKG's, Pulmonary Function tests, X-rays and all other Occupational Health testing
o Prescribes treatment and medications if indicated under direction of the Physician
o Provides injury care to patients for Urgent Care visits in the clinic
o Provides onsite visits to clients and other clinic locations
o Performs patient education, consultations, and referrals
o Completes progress notes and performs follow-up visits
o Attends staff meetings and trainings
o Assists with Clinical administrative duties and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
o Completion of a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited school
o Current PA or NP license to practice in Texas
o DOT Examination Certification
o Prior work experience in Occupational Health, Family Practice, or Urgent Care/Emergency Medicine
o Ability to travel to client and clinic locations as business demands
o Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
o Adheres to HIPAA guidelines maintaining a high level of confidentiality
o Excellent time management and ability to multi-task effectively
o Full-time position available; ability to work after hours and travel as needed
o Occasional on-call and ability to work overtime as business demands
Compensation: Commensurate with experience and certifications

Physical Requirements:
