Operations Leader

Olin Chlor Alkali Products & Vinyls, a division of Olin Corporation, has an opening for an Operations Leader, located in Freeport, TX. The Operations Leader has shared responsibility and accountability for the plant assets, personnel and achievement of the plant related business goals. The role delivers plant based business and administrative leadership to the plant operations organization. Essential Functions: People Management          Direct Supervisory responsibility for process operators          Responsible for recruiting, hiring, performance evaluation, recognition, and discipline of process operators          Encourages and helps process operators develop and execute employee development plans.          Creates an environment that fosters teamwork and develops ownership.          Advises Plant Engineers and Technical Advisors Technology and Work Process Implementation          Ensures Most Effective Technology (MET) and specific Operating Discipline requirements are in place.          Ensures implementation and ongoing effectiveness of global work processes, Operating Discipline, management systems, enabling technologies and roles.          Promotes corporate initiatives within the department such as Six Sigma, Productivity 2020, Olin harmonization, Plant Expansions, Process Automation Conversions and Project fusion.          Ensures the leveraging of Global LERS and implementation of plant specific action items that are generated by global events. Production Leadership          Personally participates to meet Business and plant goals (EH&S, quality, production, cost).          Performs appropriate Manage Production roles as determined by Production Leader (Operate Plant, Operating Discipline, Produce to Plan / Record Production, etc.).          Production Coordinator in cooperation with the plant engineering team and Technical Advisors.          Primary back-up to the Production Leader.          Ensures compliance with all Process Safety and Personal Safety Rules and regulations.          Drives the Root Cause Analysis for unplanned events Minimum Requirements:          Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical or Mechanical required          Minimum 5 years combined experience as a Production Engineer, Unit Leader or Operations Leader in a chemical manufacturing plant required          Experience in Process Automation preferred          Experience working/planning Turnarounds in excess of $2-5 million          Proven experience delivering excellent EH&S results in a large chemical manufacturing process   Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education This position is not eligible for an expat assignment Olin does not provide any form of sponsorship to applicants not authorized to work in the US.6197

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
