Process Control Engineer

Description The Dow Chemical Company has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Process Control System Engineer located in Lake Jackson, TXat the new Dow Innovation Center Research Center. Dow Core R&D Laboratory Automation team is engaged to accelerate research for Dow by providing novel automation solutions for R&D laboratories and pilot plants. This team is responsible to develop process control applications for a variety of projects using Siemens, National Instruments LabVIEW and embedded control technologies. The Process Control Systems Engineer is responsible to collaborate with Lab Automation peers globally to develop Best Practices (BP) for Dow R&D process control systems. They will also work with R&D clients, and external providers to create new process control solution and to support existing systems. The role will require this individual to independently scope, captures requirements, design, develop, deploy and support the corresponding control systems following Best Practices for the R&D Process Control. The potential applicant must possess good software programming skills, strong knowledge of industrial controls, and a passion for creating automation solutions and have at least 5 years of industrial experience with distributed control systems (DCS). Other job duties: Identifies opportunities to accelerate and improve the effectiveness of R&D by using automated laboratory systems Initiates appropriate actions by collaborating with Lab Automation team members, Dow Information Systems and vendors Builds trusted relationships with remote Lab Automation peers and local/regional R&D clients in order to communicate effectively to keep stakeholders up to date Effectively leads multiple local or regional automation projects Continuously improves and updated technical expertise, personal abilities and individual performance to reach full potential Seamlessly collaborates with multiple project teams Acquires expertise from remote Lab Automation team members whose members are located at multiple R&D sites in North America and Europe Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Sciences or related discipline Process automation experience Strong software development skills 5 years of experience in process control application development Exposure with process control hardware and system design Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering is preferred Experience with Siemens PCS7 and National Instruments LabVIEW 1811198

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
